# Good Timers

> Independent classic-car broker based in Lyon, France. Good Timers finds, verifies, inspects, imports and registers collector vehicles on behalf of its clients, mainly from the United States and Canada to France and neighbouring countries. On purchases it acts as the buyer's agent and does not buy vehicles to resell them. It separately offers sales mandates to owners.

Good Timers is the trading name of SFVE (Société Française des Véhicules d'Exception), a French SASU (single-shareholder simplified joint-stock company) with a share capital of 21,000 EUR, founded in 2020 and registered in Lyon (SIRET 888 324 217 00023), 2 place du Docteur Gailleton, 69002 Lyon, France. Professional member of the FFVE (Fédération Française des Véhicules d'Époque). Founder: Thomas Reynaud, active on the collector-car market for almost two decades, author of "Le Guide du Parfait Gentleman Collectionneur Automobile".

How it works:

- On purchases, broker and buyer's agent (mandataire), with no stock of its own: Good Timers does not buy vehicles to resell them and is paid for a service, not through a margin on the vehicle price. The buyer decides at every step.
- For owners, a separate sales mandate: the vehicle stays with its owner and in the owner's name until sold; the fee is due only if it sells.
- Full service or single steps: bespoke search, remote verification of a listing (investigation mandate, fixed price 75 EUR, written answer within 72 hours), on-site inspection by an independent inspector, checks before payment then a direct transfer from buyer to seller (or an escrow account with an independent trusted third party when needed; Good Timers never holds the vehicle price), sea freight and customs clearance, French collector registration when the vehicle is eligible (FFVE attestation, ANTS), home delivery.
- Vehicles: cars, pickups, vans, 4x4, youngtimers and, since September 2026, motorcycles (Harley-Davidson, Indian, Japanese and European makes).
- Countries: imports mainly from the USA and Canada to France, with deliveries to Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Spain and Italy; purchases within Europe and exports from Europe on request.
- Average timeline: seven weeks between purchase and delivery.
- Taxes on a US import into France: a vehicle over 30 years old that qualifies as a collector's item pays 5.5% VAT and no customs duty; a vehicle under the standard regime generally pays 10% customs duty plus 20% VAT.
- Listings: more than 20,000 collector-vehicle listings from the North American market, updated daily and published in French. One page per listing at /fr/annonce/<slug>/, one archive per make and model at /fr/annonces/voitures-americaines/<make>/<model>/.
- Prices of North American listings: an all-in estimate in euros for a vehicle imported and registered in France: the original asking price converted at the exchange rate of the day it was published, plus Good Timers' service, transport, import duties and taxes and French registration. Workshop reception, servicing and home delivery are added on request. A firm quote is given before any commitment.
- Prices of vehicles under sales mandate, already in Europe ("Véhicules disponibles"): the owner's asking price, with no import costs.
